Interpretation: This tool estimates the probability of myopia and provides a screening result. It is intended to support screening and referral decisions, not to establish a diagnosis.

Definition: Myopia is defined as cycloplegic spherical equivalent refraction ≤ −0.50 D.

Important: A negative screening result does not exclude myopia. Children with suspected visual problems or other clinical concerns should undergo appropriate refractive and ophthalmic assessment.

Intended population: Children aged 5–19 years. Broader use outside the population represented in the development and validation datasets requires further evaluation.
